Some of our seniors also participated in CollegeGoalSC here at Tri-County Technical College on Febrary 22nd. CollegeGoalSC is a yearly, free, statewide event  that assists students and parents in completing and filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the first step in receiving federal aid for many of our students.

A long over-due update!

An update is long over due!!! Things are going well at Upward Bound. After a busy fall semester, and January, we are happy to announce that we are done recruiting students to replace those who graduated in Spring 2013 and we are excited to get to know our new recruitment class. As of now, all of our slots are filled and we are completing orientations so that our new batch of students can start on February 8th.

 Just a few of our new students. We had a total of 25 openings for the 2013-2014 school year.

Along with recruitment, Upward Bound also attended the 16th Annual Wanda Hendricks-Bellamy Student Leadership Conference, January 10-12. Our students had a great time as they learned necessary leadership skills and networked with other students from across South Carolina. The conference included a hospitality and wellness event, workshops, a fashion show, banquet, dance and awards ceremony. End to the summer program and kickin' off the 2013-2014 school year

Our amazing Summer Component ended this year with a banquet and awards presentation and a trip to Charleston, SC with a select number of students. Now the staff is focused on getting everything together to begin our Academic Component on August 24th. We've got great things in store for our students during the Fall including giving out school supplies during our orientation. Enjoy the pics from the summer; we had a good time taking them!
